We spent Thursday at the Bird's welcoming Aunt Molly to the Dallas area. We are so excited to have her close. Of course, we paid tribute to Wisconsin by cooling off with some ice cream at Milwaukee Joe's.
Friday night, we welcomed Aunt Mary Kate and had dinner with the Danaher side of the family while the kiddos chased each other around.
Saturday we stopped at the new Klyde Warren Park in Dallas to see the Watsons. The kids enjoyed the play area with the fountains while the rest of us hung out in the shade. Then we headed out to the UD Capp Barr to meet up with Becca, Molly, Leah and Ben. When we arrived, we were happy to find some of the Danahers there as well. The kids ran up and down the halls while we chatted and eventually we headed over to Jerome Hall to see Molly and Mary Kate's rooms. It's been 10 years since I moved into Jerome and it was so fun to be back. I'm very excited for Molly and Mary Kate!
Then there was mass, appetizers in Haggar, more running around for the kids, and a pool party with pizza and ice cream sandwiches before we headed home with one exhausted Mary Grace.
On Sunday, we headed back to UD, grabbed some breakfast with Aunt Molly and Uncle John, ran around Haggar some more and then headed off to get some Mexican food with the Danahers to celebrate Mary Grace's birthday.
It was a VERY busy weekend and sadly, Daddy had to work on Mary Grace's birthday (Labor Day), but Becca, Leah and Ben brought over birthday donuts and gifts during the day and we got in one more little Birthday celebration after Phil got home.
Here are some pictures from the weekend. I apologize for the lack of pictures - although it means I was enjoying spending time with the family rather than behind the camera!
